Deal of the Year!!

Do you see anything missing from this picture(besides a brush to the hair)?? First thing this morning, Emma lost her first tooth!! She will be 9 years old this month and hasn't lost one tooth on her own. That is why this is the deal of the year. We have paid good money to loose all of the other teeth (8 of them), with a lot of help from the dentist. Todd told her yesterday that if she lost that tooth on her own, the tooth fairy would be really good to her. She has really been working at it the last week or so. I still can't believe it. I know this sounds silly to most of you, but the child's teeth just don't loosen up!! She looks so different with that HUGE gap in the front. I am sure in a week or so that the new tooth will be through. They move down so fast!! Yay Emma!! Let's loose some more on our own. It was nice for the checkbook!!!

Kindergarten!!

The day if finally here!! Leah was so excited she couldn't wait to get up this morning and get ready for school. Yesterday we were talking and I told her I was really going to miss her being around during the day with me. She said, I am going to miss you too Mama. Then she said, you know what mama, I am still going to love you!! Oh, she is the sweetest thing. Don't get me wrong she is a feisty one, but so sweet at the same time. I assured her that I was still going to love her, but that I would miss hanging out with her during the day. When Todd and I dropped her off this morning, she didn't pay us to much attention. She was ready to get her stuff unpacked, and she was ready to do her morning work!! I did very well, no tears at all. I think because I am already use to her going to preschool for a few mornings a week, so today I was just dropping of at a new place, a place that I am very familiar with!! When I dropped Emma off for Kindergarten, I knew no one. Very scary for me! Emma was very sweet, she was so excited for Leah. This morning when the alarm clock went off, she jumped out of her bed and into Leah's and said Leah today is your first day of Kindergarten. So sweet!! Last night we realized we were out of paper towels, so I didn't have one to put in their lunch boxes. Emma assured Leah that she could go up to the line and get a napkin. That is just wasn't a big deal. Then when Leah got dressed for school this morning, Emma told Leah to put her arms down by her side and lets make sure your shorts are long enough (like I am going to send my child to school with short shorts)!!! It is just to funny listening to Emma make sure Leah is doing the right thing. She doesn't want her to start off on the wrong foot!! I think Leah is going to have a great day and I can't wait to pick her up this afternoon and hear all about it. She is going to learn so much this year, and I just pray that she can be a good example to others, and meet lots of friends, and just enjoy her Kindergarten year!! We love you Leah, and can't wait to journey down this new road with you!!

Baby Got New Shoes!!

Check out my latest project!! I had so much fun making these, I can't wait until Sara Beth arrives so that I can put these on her sweet little feet. Hopefully they are small enough to fit into these tiny shoes. If I knew she would be able to wear this size, I would make her some for fall and some for Christmas, and some for ....... you get the idea. I have a pattern all the way up to 18 months. Oh the possibilities!! Another great thing about them, they are reversible. So she can wear the black and white polka dot side too! Two pair of shoes in one!! Please come out so I can meet you Sara Beth. I am soooo ready to play and dress you up in some of this sweet stuff!! I know the Lord must be up there saying, "Patience, patience my dear!!"
