Sister Love!!

Well, it has been 4 months and the newness hasn't worn off. The girls are still thrilled to have their baby sister. They want to help do everything. Leah even changed her diaper when she was suppose to be waiting on me to get in there to do it. I couldn't believe it. She actually did a good job. She told me she had been practicing on her baby dolls. I believe it. They still keep up with who held her the longest. Who held her before school and who gets the next turn. I am so thankful that they are loving her as much as we are, and aren't jealous!! They have been fun to watch.

4 Month Shot!!

Here is my chunky monkey at 4 months. This is hot off the camera this morning. I am amazed at how fast she is growing. To have such a slow start in the beginning, she sure has caught up. She had her 4 month check up yesterday. She weighed in at 14lbs. 5 oz, and she is off the chart for height @ 26.5 inches. I asked them about giving her some cereal @ bedtime. She is still keeping me up 3 and 4 times a night. They said it was fine. I went to the store yesterday to get some and then decided to wait. Night before last she only got me up twice, and last night once. I am hoping this is going to be a new pattern. She got shots yesterday, so it could have been a fluke! I think I will wait and see if she goes back to waking up every couple of hours. I moved her into her crib last week. She is moving around so much, and she pushed herself up against the end of the cradle. She was not a happy camper, so I moved her to the crib. It was high time anyway. I just didn't want to get up and down out of the bed so much!! Oh well!! She has learned so many things this past month. She is talking non stop. Church is interesting, when she wants to talk she doesn't want the paci and will push is right out of her mouth, while you are trying to get her quiet. When she has something to say, you mind as well listen!! She has giggled a couple of times. She has been pulling her foot up to her mouth, and chewing on her socks!! She will grab whatever she wants. She even tries for my cell phone when I am trying to take her picture. She is standing all the time (in our laps). She doesn't like to lay down, she will stand thank you! She does a great job at sitting with a little support. It is crazy how fast she is doing all of these things. Last but not least, she is rolling over from her belly to her back!! Here is a video to prove it!! Be ready. It happens right at the beginning of the video. You can stop it after the roll if you would like. It is just a bunch of cackling!! I hate being on video!!

Two Sweet Things!!

This is a two random things to post, but they are two sweet not to mention!!

1. Emma and Leah are great at praying. Each night they take turns praying at the supper table, and then when they are tucked in bed Todd and the girls always say a prayer together. They are always very thoughtful and remember people that are mentioned at church or that are in our family that they know that have been sick. Lately Leah has been praying the same prayer: Dear God, thank you for my papa rock who was sick with his kidneys, thank you for grandaddy as he is doing better on his heart, and thank you that my uncle nick is sick and help him get better. I am sure all of these are taken care of. If the Lord doesn't hear those sweet request, Lord help us all!!!

2. Emma... my sweet Emma. She is the sweetest, kindest (except with Leah) most thoughtful child I know. She walked into the living room the other day and we were all doing something. I don't remember what, but we were all in there. She says, "I love ya'll. I really do. I love ya'll so much. I wouldn't trade ya'll for anything. Really, I mean it!!!". She constantly tells me and her daddy how we are a good mama and a good daddy. She is so sweet.

Snow!!

Over Christmas, we had a good amount of snow. We actually left late Christmas afternoon to head to Reidsville to spend time with the family. We were afraid if we waited we would be snowed in. I am sure glad we left when we did. The roads got pretty bad before we arrived at Mema's. The girls loved playing in it for the next few days. I didn't get very many pictures. I didn't have any good shoes for getting out there in it.

While the girls played outside. Sara Beth did things like this!! She stayed really warm and cozy!!

We ran outside very quickly to snap a shot of Sara Beth's first snow!! Terrible picture. It was too cold and they didn't have coats on!! You get what you get and don't complain a bit!!

My new favorite picture of the girls in Pa's chair!! Love it, and love these girls so much I can't stand it!!

Fun Times Ahead!!

We have been wanting a nice swing set for sometime. Each year when tax season is upon us we always say we would like to get the kids one of those nice wooden swing sets. Emma had the idea that Santa could bring all the wood and dump it into the backyard and Daddy could put it together. We told her that would be too heavy and to expensive. We told the girls that we would start saving our money and they could put in their birthday money that still had not spent. They agreed. I told them that I would be willing to put any money that I received for Christmas into the pot if they would. They really wanted the swing set!!! Long story short. We had some very generous givers in the money department this year, and we were able to get the swing set. Now getting it together is a whole different story. Todd in listed the help of his Dad and Uncle Randy to come and help get this huge thing together. They got a good bit done last Saturday, but there is still a lot to be done. Hopefully it won't be long and they will be able to use it!!

Side note: this swing set is Next Generation brand from Lowe's Home Improvement. It has been a nightmare to say the least. None of the boxes came with the correct stuff in them. NONE!! We have been back and forth to Lowe's several times.. SEVERAL... some even 3o minutes up the road. Spent more money that we didn't intent on spending because they didn't have more of the correct boxes, so we had to upgrade. As we they are putting it together, we are still finding more hardware that isn't in the baggies!! Very frustrating! Todd really wants to take the whole thing back and get our money back. Bare in mind that the girls are jumping up and down wanting to know when they are going to be able to play on it. We can't do it to them!! Lowe's has been very helpful, they are giving us parts out of other boxes if they have it, and even gave us a good discount on the upgrade, but it is still very aggravating!! I will never buy from this company again, their packing department stinks to say the least!!!

Checking the boxes for missing pieces. There were a lot!!

What's gonna work? Team work!! (sorry, to many kid shows in my head!!) We had to in list the help of Mr. Reed to come and help lift this part of the tower over the fence. The guys opted to build what they could in the garage with a heater. It was frigid outside!!
I am hoping the girls will have a lot of fun playing outside this summer on this swing set. I will post more pictures once more is added on!! Thanks Uncle Randy and Papa Red for giving up your Saturday and helping Todd. We wouldn't be this far if it wasn't for you. Uncle Randy, you can bring your kids and have free admission to our park anytime!!
