More, More!!

O.K. All credit due here goes to Aunt Rachel. We were over at their house for dinner on Thursday night and Rachel was showing Sara Beth the sign for more. Before we left Sara Beth signed it once. Rachel was VERY excited. She showed Emma and Leah because she said if she had any hope of Sara Beth learning it, they would have to show her too! NO faith in me!! Then on Friday we were over again and she practiced with her again. Holding out on blueberries worked really well, because she did it a few more times. I will be honest. I did think "yeah right". Well she is signing it a lot now. Every time we have been in Rachel's presence she has tried to get Sara Beth to sign more. She has picked it up very quickly. I guess I am a believer :). Today while I was giving her some lunch, every time I put a bite in her mouth, she would do HER sign for more. I got so tickled. Food is something she doesn't play around with. If she thinks she will get more, she will do whatever it takes. Thanks Aunt Rachel for showing me some ways to communicate so I don't have to yell at mama all the time!! I guess we (Rachel) need to work on some more. She is just brilliant!! What can I say?

First Day of School 2011

Well, we had to set those alarms last night. Back to the daily routine. We started school this morning. The girls were so excited. They were ready and sitting on the couch waiting on time to leave this morning. If we could do that every morning we would be in great shape! Won't happen, I should go ahead and realize that I am going to be rushing and pushing them to finish breakfast, brush those teeth, do something with your hair, grab your lunch box and book bags!

I hope they have a great year. Emma is in 5th and Leah in 1st. Pretty crazy. When I was writing out their signs, Emma said "Mama, I can't believe Leah is going into 1st already." I was actually thinking that I couldn't believe she was going into 5th already. CRAZY!! Next year is middle school. I only have a year to get ready for it. Something tells me I won't ever be ready.

11 Months

Look at that cute smile. She can't believe it either!! She is 11 months old. Boy are things changing around here. She likes to climb the stairs. The girls like to follow behind her and let her go on up. I don't like the idea at all. It means she is getting to big for her britches!! She is eating everything in site. She has 6 teeth and is working hard on the 7th. She is making all kinds of new sounds. She loves looking at books right now. She really likes the lift the flap ones, and also loves to look at mirrors. If the book has mirrors, perfect!!
She also loves to put her hand to her mouth and make lots of cute noises pulling her hand back and forth while making sounds.

Peek a boo is also a fun thing for her. She likes to put her hands up or she will use a blanket to cover her face. See what I mean. She shouldn't be old enough to be doing this stuff. She is turning into a toddler before my eyes, and on a lot of levels I am not ready! On other levels I am in LOVE!!!

She has been in a great mood the last few days. It has been so nice, because while all of those teeth were coming in, we were all miserable.

Pool Time Big Girl Edition

Ok, so while we were on vacation the girls decided that they would be brave and jump in the deep end of the pool (with no life jacket on) and swim to the shallow end. Actually they didn't even think twice about it. I really thought I was going to have to beg! This is crazy considering last year I had to force Emma to put her face into the water. Well maybe that was the year before last. I don't know. Time is flying by. Anyhow, it is still unbelievable!!

Pool Time

Yes, she is really asleep!! She is relaxing in Granddaddy's pool. She has really enjoyed her pool time this summer. At least at Granddaddy's pool she can use a float. At the pool that we visit each week, I have to hold her, and she goes to sleep every week. It must be very relaxing to her! I sure am going to miss this sweet peacefull time. Next year she will be all over the place and maybe even scared of the water. I hope not!!

Million Dollar Smile

I have something I have been working on lately. It is the one million dollar smile. I worked hard for the 1st 4 pearly whites. I got all 4 in 2 weeks. It was real hard work, but it all paid off because I look adorable with those pretty things sticking out of my gums. Right after I got the first 4 I started immediately working on the next 3. Two of them have popped out, but mama keeps checking on that 3rd one and it hasn't made its apperence just yet!! I HATE it when mama puts her finger in my mouth to check things out. It makes me really mad. Actually right now I am just alittle bit moody. Mama keeps saying it is because I am teething. If I have to be honest, I am fussy all the time. Hopefully when I can get past this teething episode I will be in a better mood. I am usually a pretty happy camper!!

10 Months

Yes, I am turning 11 months tomorrow. Yes, my mom is very busy and has had computer and internet problems. The bottom line is... I am still the cutest thing ever and I continue to grow and steal everyone's heart. So for all of you out there that have been checking in on us. We have been busy taking vacation, playing at the pool and just enjoying our summer. Soon things will get back to normal (somewhat) and maybe mama will have more time to blog.
