Something is Missing!!

Would you look at that!! Leah lost her first tooth. She can't be big enough for this yet!! Where does time go?? She is still just as excited about it. Everyday she goes into the bathroom, checks on the progress of the up coming tooth, comes out and reports and shows to anyone available, how much her tooth has come up out of the hole. It is too funny. My BIG girls are getting big really fast, and I don't really like it!! The tooth fairy brought her a 2 dollar bill. She says it is her SPECIAL money!! By the way, the economy must not have hit the tooth fairy. I think I got a quarter when my teeth fell out!! Why do the kids always get the better end of the stick???

Emma's Hard Work!!

Emma has been working SO hard this year (actually she has worked hard every year). She always has 1 or 2 C's on her report card. Her goal has been to get A/B Honor Roll. The first nine weeks she missed it by 1 test!! ERRR!! I was so disappointed for her. But this 9 weeks, she did it. We were SO proud of her. Emma really has to work hard in school. She is younger than all the kids in her class and she has always struggled in the test taking area. When I picked them up on the day report cards came out, I could see it all over her face. When she got in the car she immediately said, " I am not telling you anything!" I said to her, "Emma I bet you got straight F's on your report card didn't you?" She said, "I'm not telling you!!" I already knew because she was so happy!! She got 3 awards, Perfect Attendance, Outstanding Conduct, and the one she is most proud of is HONOR ROLL! I love this kid so much it is scary sometimes!!
Just for fun, this is a picture of Emma and her best friend Alyssa. They have been in the same class for 3 years in a row. I guess they were bound to be best friends. They look so cute together. They are on opposite ends of the growth chart!! Another random comment. The board they are standing in front of was the best idea. For Valentine's Day. The class had to fill out a heart about what they love about their family. Then each family member fills out a heart about what they love about the student. The teacher filled up the board with the hearts. What a great idea!! Our family really had a great time filling out our hearts. Todd told Emma he needed a really BIG heart for all the things he wanted to say. Too sweet!! I am so blessed to have such a great husband that is such a great daddy.

Swing Set Update!!

Todd has MOST of the swing set together. He is hasn't had much time to work on it, slowly but surely it is coming together. He still has to finish the roof and monkey bars. Leah was the only one home when he finished the swing beam and attached the slide. She was so excited. I sure hope ALL the girls get plenty of use out of it! This summer will be so nice when I can put them outside for a little while and they can get out some energy!!

Sister Love!!

Well, it has been 4 months and the newness hasn't worn off. The girls are still thrilled to have their baby sister. They want to help do everything. Leah even changed her diaper when she was suppose to be waiting on me to get in there to do it. I couldn't believe it. She actually did a good job. She told me she had been practicing on her baby dolls. I believe it. They still keep up with who held her the longest. Who held her before school and who gets the next turn. I am so thankful that they are loving her as much as we are, and aren't jealous!! They have been fun to watch.

4 Month Shot!!

Here is my chunky monkey at 4 months. This is hot off the camera this morning. I am amazed at how fast she is growing. To have such a slow start in the beginning, she sure has caught up. She had her 4 month check up yesterday. She weighed in at 14lbs. 5 oz, and she is off the chart for height @ 26.5 inches. I asked them about giving her some cereal @ bedtime. She is still keeping me up 3 and 4 times a night. They said it was fine. I went to the store yesterday to get some and then decided to wait. Night before last she only got me up twice, and last night once. I am hoping this is going to be a new pattern. She got shots yesterday, so it could have been a fluke! I think I will wait and see if she goes back to waking up every couple of hours. I moved her into her crib last week. She is moving around so much, and she pushed herself up against the end of the cradle. She was not a happy camper, so I moved her to the crib. It was high time anyway. I just didn't want to get up and down out of the bed so much!! Oh well!! She has learned so many things this past month. She is talking non stop. Church is interesting, when she wants to talk she doesn't want the paci and will push is right out of her mouth, while you are trying to get her quiet. When she has something to say, you mind as well listen!! She has giggled a couple of times. She has been pulling her foot up to her mouth, and chewing on her socks!! She will grab whatever she wants. She even tries for my cell phone when I am trying to take her picture. She is standing all the time (in our laps). She doesn't like to lay down, she will stand thank you! She does a great job at sitting with a little support. It is crazy how fast she is doing all of these things. Last but not least, she is rolling over from her belly to her back!! Here is a video to prove it!! Be ready. It happens right at the beginning of the video. You can stop it after the roll if you would like. It is just a bunch of cackling!! I hate being on video!!

Two Sweet Things!!

This is a two random things to post, but they are two sweet not to mention!!

1. Emma and Leah are great at praying. Each night they take turns praying at the supper table, and then when they are tucked in bed Todd and the girls always say a prayer together. They are always very thoughtful and remember people that are mentioned at church or that are in our family that they know that have been sick. Lately Leah has been praying the same prayer: Dear God, thank you for my papa rock who was sick with his kidneys, thank you for grandaddy as he is doing better on his heart, and thank you that my uncle nick is sick and help him get better. I am sure all of these are taken care of. If the Lord doesn't hear those sweet request, Lord help us all!!!

2. Emma... my sweet Emma. She is the sweetest, kindest (except with Leah) most thoughtful child I know. She walked into the living room the other day and we were all doing something. I don't remember what, but we were all in there. She says, "I love ya'll. I really do. I love ya'll so much. I wouldn't trade ya'll for anything. Really, I mean it!!!". She constantly tells me and her daddy how we are a good mama and a good daddy. She is so sweet.

Snow!!

Over Christmas, we had a good amount of snow. We actually left late Christmas afternoon to head to Reidsville to spend time with the family. We were afraid if we waited we would be snowed in. I am sure glad we left when we did. The roads got pretty bad before we arrived at Mema's. The girls loved playing in it for the next few days. I didn't get very many pictures. I didn't have any good shoes for getting out there in it.

While the girls played outside. Sara Beth did things like this!! She stayed really warm and cozy!!

We ran outside very quickly to snap a shot of Sara Beth's first snow!! Terrible picture. It was too cold and they didn't have coats on!! You get what you get and don't complain a bit!!

My new favorite picture of the girls in Pa's chair!! Love it, and love these girls so much I can't stand it!!
